The Irish Sudden Infant Death Association: Annual Remembrance Service in the Hudson Bay Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath on Sunday next 4th. December at 2.30 p.m.   All are very welcome.

Thursday is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and is a  holiday of obligation.    Morning Mass in Dangan  at 9.30 and in Coole at 7.30.  Meeting of the liturgy group after the 7.30 Mass in Coole sacristy.  All members  please attend.

 

Rev. Derek Ryan from Baconstown will be ordained a Catholic priest in the Redemptorist church in Dundalk this Sunday for the Redemptorist Order..  This   is a great source of joy and celebration for the extended Ryan family and the community in Baconstown & Agher..  Fr. Gavin has invited Derek to celebrate Mass in Coole on the 17th of December and in Dangan during the month of January.  Would you like to arrange a cup of tea after Mass for the community and on this special evening in Coole?  It’s over to you.

Please pray for the repose of the souls of Jennie Byrne, sister of Nellie White who was buried during the week and for Barney Clarke who was buried in Dangan during the week and for Margaret Quinn (mother of Joan Kelly Dangan, who was buried in Boardsmill this Saturday.)

Greg Hastings of Summerhill will be exhibiting his imaging work at Trim Library from Saturday 10th Dec' to Saturday 17thDec'.Greg will be in attendance throughout normal library hours on each day. He has a background in design and historic buildings conservation and has been photographing subjects from nature and artefact in excess of 30yrs.A selection of his recent work will be presented as 'Fine Art', which he carefully produces on high quality, acid free, pH neutral Art Paper huse liminating any industrial processes. Each print is a 'hand-produced', 'per-print' piece and may appeal as a thoughtful gift. Local scenes feature in this years show. Prices are much reduced this year.€10 from the sale of each piece will be donated to SVP (St Vincent de Paul). Hope to see folks coming to visit.

60’s Reunion Disco:

Calling all "Wild Boys" and "Girls Who Want to Have Fun", its time to put on your "Raspberry Beret" and "Get into the Groove". Relive the happy Friday night disco's of the eighties that the Community Centre was famous for. Prepare your Hearts: The Diocesan Youth Group are hosting an evening "Prepare your Hearts" in St. Anne’s Parish Centre, Navan, Co. Meath on Friday 9th of December. It will be a space for reflection and preparation for the season of Advent and is open to people aged between 18 and 35. People are asked to gather between 6pm and 6.30pm. ThriVV  de  P WEEK: Runs from the 5 to 11 Dec. with annuL church  Church Door collection on the 10 and 11 Dec. We thank ou for always supporting us and we thank Fr TP Gavin for allowing this collection. Last year 2010 our income from Church door collection, donations, and Thrift hop was 9913 euro and our expenditure on food, education, fuel and clothing was €9,942. Our Income and Expenditure Account is included in the audited Annual Report issued by the SVP society Thank you for helping those less well off in our community. Mass will be offered for our benefactors living and dead on Wed 7 Dec at 9.30amAdoration:During the season of Advent do give thought to spending some time in the presence of the Lord in the Eucharist Time spent in the calm and quiet will help you prepare for the meaning of Christmas . Adoration every Wed in both churches. Think of making a weekly commitment.
