Friday next (03 Feb) is the First Friday of February and the Feast of St. Blaise. There will be morning Mass in Coole at 8.30am, in Dangan at 9.30am. Masses will be offered for those on the list of the Dead. Confession before Masses. Blessing of throats after Mass. The sick and house bound will be attended on Thursday and Friday morning.

Fr. Gavin writes ‘Please pray for the success of the mission from 19th to 25th Febuary. Please do not arrange sporting or social events during the mission. The Eucharistic Congress Bell will visit the Parish on Sun 19 Feb. More details next week’.

 

Thrift Shop: Due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to hold our Thrift Shop on Tuesday 7th February. The Thrift Shop will be held on March 6th between 9.30 – 12noon. We hope to see you then

Epilepsy is a condition that affects over 37,000 people in Ireland and fundraising is particularly important in view of cuts in funding from the HSE. The organisers of the church gate collections at Coole and Dangan on Sat 4th and Sun 5th Feb ask for as generous a response as possible.

Speech and Drama classes resume Saturday 4th Feb in Coole School New Hall.

“Mature Movers” Activity Programme for Older Adults 50+ commences on Wednesday 8th February at 11am in Summerhill Community Centre. Dangan Choir are recruiting new members to sing in the choir. If you are interested please come along on Sunday morning's to 11.30am Mass. Rehearsals take place in Trim Castle Hotel. All welcome.

'Community Centre News- Come and Celebrate Valentine's at Our 80's Disco on Sat 18th Feb, so get yourself all loved up and Dance the night away.

Refurbishment work has begun in recent weeks at the Community Centre. The main work consists of the installation of a lift which will serve the bowls room, offices etc. The bowls room will also be getting a complete overhall. We have been very lucky to secure a grant from Meath Sports Partnership of €110,000, the remaining €40,000 will have to be raised by the committee through future events which we hope will be supported by the entire community. On Sat March 10th we are planning an American Tea Party- Irish Style. We would very much welcome Hostesses in the parish willing to become involved in this fun night.
